Form is Temporary, Class is Permanent

Yesterday Arsenal revealed the new stadium artwork that will adorn the Emirates Stadium moving forward. It’s rare in this day and age to find something universally praised, but it seems clear that the club has absolutely achieved that with this initiative.

Regardless of what club you support, there will naturally be a bit of bias that your club is the most special because x, y and z. But time and time again Arsenal does things that, regardless of my own bias, are so classy and show why this club is different. The club said, “While each piece of art has a different theme, they are unified in celebrating our rich history, community values and relentless pursuit of progress. The project has only been possible thanks to the contribution of more than 100 supporters, legends and their families and a number of club staff.  It began with a blank canvas and harnessed the passion, love and knowledge of our community across the world to create art that would express the pride they have in their club.”

The involvement of so many people who represent the heartbeat of the club has undoubtedly been a hit, as this touched on so many elements and eras of the club. The attention to detail is unmatched. Again, I can’t say enough good things about this. I’m so proud to be an Arsenal supporter today.

If you haven’t already, please make sure to give a listen to the Arsenal Vision Podcast where Elliott interviews a number of key individuals at the unveiling event last night including Martin Odegaard, Jack Wilshere, Vinai, Stuart MacFarlane and more. It captures the essence of the night and what this great club is about. Additionally, there is a ton of additional information and insight to the project on the Arsenal website.

We’ll be back tomorrow as we start to preview the NLD on Sunday.
